Museum of American Arts & Crafts

Given the opportunity to design the Museum of the American Arts & Crafts Movement in St. Petersburg, Florida, Alfonso Architects in Tampa delivered an instant architectural classic. In her review of their efforts, Judi Shade Monk, from the University of Florida School of Architecture said: “a visit is both exhilarating and mentally exhausting, impossible to complete in a single day.” Trimstone was proud to contribute 40,000 square feet of Brazilian Branco Romano granite panels to the efforts.

Trimstone lightweight natural stone panels are over 70% lighter than traditional 3cm full-thickness stone cladding. Our patented cladding system simplifies the installation process. This allows for Trimstone to be installed at significantly faster rate than traditional dimensional stone.

Our lightweight stone honeycomb panel system is comprised of natural stone veneer securely bonded to high-strength, aviation-grade, aluminum honeycomb and FRP sheets. These elements have been thoroughly tested, yielding the highest certifications and performance standards in the industry.
