Trimstone® is a lightweight natural stone panel designed and manufactured for exterior and interior cladding applications. Natural stone is bonded to a high-strength, aviation-grade aluminum honeycomb backing. This results in panels that are over 70% lighter than traditional 3cm full-thickness stone cladding.
Trimstone® panels are available in almost any type of stone. As a rule, a stone that would be considered for a traditional stone facade can also be used in the manufacture of our panels. This selection naturally includes granite, limestone, marble, sandstone, travertine, and more. Trimstone® panels are typically designed and produced for panel-to-panel attachment, utilizing our patented ‘joint channel’, creating a relatively seamless appearance while also allowing for an easy and efficient installation.
Reimagine the Modern Facade
Trimstone® panels meet all the technical requirements necessary for success across a wide range of climatological and situational challenges.
Our panels have been installed in the tough freeze-thaw cycling of Prince George, BC, Canada, the difficult logistics of a constrained urban setting like New York City, and the always present hurricane concerns of Florida.Contact Us
Trimstone® natural stone panels are lightweight, extremely strong, easy to install, impact resistant, and they prevent significant water infiltration.
These technical qualities make a perfect solution for modern high-rise architectural design in both interior and exterior applications. Our panels are produced with only the highest quality natural stone, be that marble, granite, limestone, or other appropriate architectural stone.
Core Advantages of
Trimstone® panels are over 70% lighter than traditional 3cm full-thickness stone applications. This results in design dead load savings that are beneficial to project engineering.
Aluminum Honeycomb Core
Trimstone® uses the most advanced aluminum honeycomb core- a material offering unparalleled strength-to-weight ratios and resistance to heat, moisture, corrosion, and mold. Panels can be ordered in a variety of thicknesses to suit your project’s needs.
Our versatile stone panels have profiles as thin as 3/8″, making them a perfect solution when design requirements create thickness restrictions.
Trimstone® panels are typically produced as cut-to-size pieces based on the dimensional specifics of the architectural design. Individual panels can be as large as 60″ x 120″.
Supply Chain Friendly
Trimstone panels enjoy many logistical advantages, especially when considered opposite a conventional full-thickness stone installation.
Our low weight/SF ratio improves the efficiency of the entire supply chain from order placement to receiving to installation.
Our lightweight design and innovative mounting system makes our panels easier to install than similar cladding options. The installation contractor gets a higher volume of production in a favorably compressed timeframe, keeping the project on schedule.
Trimstone® is manufactured in the United States. Given our almost 40 years of experience, we are able to bring efficient production timetables to even the most demanding construction schedules.
As discussed previously, the simplicity of our natural stone panels allows the installation contractor to compress the project schedule in terms of both preinstallation logistics and on-site production. In conjunction with our competitive unit pricing per SF, the client realizes significant in-place savings. This is particularly true when legacy-type stone installations are the other option.
Trimstone® panels were given higher grades than our competition on all ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) tests conducted under freeze and thaw cycles.
All Trimstone® panels have a durable epoxy skin, which protects the honeycomb core with a waterproof barrier. Our system has passed the stringent Miami-Dade wind driven rain test.
Trimstone® has superior energy absorption and impact resistance. Our panels exhibit flexural strength and warpage thresholds that are significantly greater than those normally seen in a legacy-type of material such as 4 cm granite slabs.
Our panels can contribute to LEED points in a variety of different categories. For example, when they are used as a rain screen over an existing wall, that would contribute in the “building reuse” category. Please contact us with specific project details.
