Durable Modularized Curtain Wall Panels Selected by The Royal Bank of Canada for Versatility and Ease of Installation

The Royal Bank of Canada main branch office is located in Prince George, British Columbia, Canada. It is a multi-story building located in the heart of the business sector. Trimstone’s Lightweight and durable modularized curtain wall panels were selected for versatility and ease of installation as they were applied over the current structure. Blocks of Adaire Limestone were quarried from a local source in Canada and shipped to Miami, Florida for panel processing. The limestone was accented with honed Black Granite.

Approximately 30,000 square feet of panels were installed by IDL Projects. Working through the winter of 2014, installers efficiently anchored each modularized curtain wall panel to the exterior structure with the use of aluminum extrusions. Due to the weather conditions in Canada, Trimstone Lightweight Stone Panels were the ideal product because of the high scores in the Freeze-Thaw category received by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM). This is testimony to the resiliency of Trimstone panels under some of the harshest urban weather conditions.
